The Best Interior Design Trends For 2019

The interior trends that we predicted…

In 2018 we predicted this year would be full of light, appreciating nature, and bold statements. With only two months into the new year – we’re now able to grasp what the best interior design trends are for 2019. It’s safe to say that we’ll be waving goodbye to: cool greys, terrazzo tile, and fibre art.

1. Muted Pastels
Tracy Lynn Studio

Gone are the days of Easter egg pastels! Today’s muted pastels, including delicate pinks and blues, are soft tones ideal for an entryway or even a piece of furniture. For those of us who aren’t quite ready to hop onto the mustard-yellow-and-orange bandwagon that’s happening near and far, perhaps just a whisper of a pretty hue is the way to approach this resurgence of colour.

2. Bring In The Wood

From kitchens, to vanities, to furniture, and beyond, gone are the days of white on white. And honestly, I’m thrilled. Not only is it more appealing to the eye, but it adds texture and warmth to any space. There’s something about honey-coloured woods that makes us melt!

3. Four Poster Bed
Style Me Pretty

We know what you’re thinking, “four poster beds have been around for centuries”, but now we are seeing them near and far these days. The modern variations have been reposted thousands of times on Pinterest as designers are incorporating the trend more and more into their work and we’re here for it!

4. Bold Marbles

Lionsgate Design Inc. is seeing everything from jet black, to deep blues, and beyond. Home owners seem to be drawn to bolder, more unique, slabs or marble to make a statement versus the subtle grey veins we’ve been seeing for years.
