Spreading Holiday Cheer

Winter has surprised us with a quick start this year. The snow has piled up, the mittens are out and it’s time to unpack those boxes of holiday décor. We can’t wait to start prepping for friends and family get-togethers this holiday season. Read on to find out our favourite ways to bring holiday cheer inside and out. After all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Table Scapes

A table is the place where everyone draws together. It’s where the comfort is, it’s the promise of a hearty meal soon to be served. You can be sure that your table is where all the fun starts. Adding thoughtful touches like cheery napkin rings and candles with pinecones scattered really makes your table pop.  Even a simple runner with ornaments placed on top with some fresh herbs or tree snippings can add holiday sparkle to your home.

Throws and Pillows

Whether you want to curl up with some Christmas crafts or have a holiday movie marathon, comfort is key! The more the merrier as we say, when it comes to keeping warm and cozy. Pair a wool throw on the sofa with a sheepskin rug on the floor for added warmth for your toes. Why not pull on some reading socks too for maximum comfort, and curl up with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book.

Ambient Lighting

In these cold, dark months it’s especially important to shine a light to help make things merry and bright. But don’t forget that festive lights aren’t just for exteriors! You can shine lights and create cozy nooks inside and out. We love turning off the potlights and setting twinkle lights to glint in the windowsill. In fact, we love battery powered stringlights inside mason jars, or your home lanterns with a festive bow added.
